Chris
Kilroy's property background started when he joined Connell Estate Agents
in 1960 as a junior, aged 16. One year later he moved to another firm
within Bedford as a negotiator and at the age of 19,
in 1963, Chris started his own business.
Over the next 23 years his company grew into a multi-disciplinary
Estate Agency/Surveying business employing 120 people in twelve offices.
Bairstow Eves, the first Estate Agency in the UK to
become a public company, purchased the business in 1985. After a two year
service contract Chris left his old company and transformed ORS into an
active land promotional company. He proudly claims his main interest in
life, after his wife and family, is his fascination of winning at the
planning game.

Kate
Sylvester-Kilroy was made Planning Director of ORS in 1996 and is a member
of the Royal Town Planning Institute. Kate has been practising as a Town
Planner since graduating from Reading University in 1994 with a Master
of Philosophy Degree in Environmental Town Planning.
Prior to joining ORS, Kate worked for local Government
and a planning consultancy which enabled her to gain experience in a broad
spectrum of planning issues for residential, commercial and retail developments.
Kate is responsible for planning matters at ORS including
the
co-ordination of development projects, selection and the approval
of planning consultants. Her role also encompasses promotion of development
sites through the Structure and Local Plan process and approving the submission
of planning applications, by the consultants, appeals and the negotiation
of planning agreements.

Marcus
Bates was appointed Director of ORS in 1998. Marcus was formerly a Director
of Berry Bros, a firm of Chartered Surveyors and Land Agents, his particular
responsibility with that firm was advice to clients on development land.
It was through that connection that Marcus was first introduced to
ORS and saw the benefit to his landowner clients of the ORS method of
operation.
Marcus left Berry Bros in 1992 to form his own land
agency practice specialising in development matters which he continues
to run in addition to his input as part of the ORS team.

Gerry
Garner has been the Company Secretary and a
Director of the Company since 1989.
Gerry also is in Practice as a Chartered Certified Accountant as Garner
Associates in Bedford. He has been in Practice for many years, both in
medium and small firms. Gerry, with his staff, look after the Secretarial,
Administrative, and Accounting functions.

Ian
Codrington qualified as a Solicitor in 1962 joining the Family Firm of
Sharman & Trethewy (now Sharman Law) of which he became Senior Partner
in 1991. Retiring in April, 2003.
He specialises in Commercial Property having been associated
as Solicitor for several large companies, including Old Road Securities
and now lends his expertise to the Company as a non Executive Director.
Away from work his main interest is Rowing having been
a President of Bedford Rowing Club and Secretary of Bedford Regatta and
is now currently Hon. Secretary of Leander Club, Henley-on-Thames on whose
Committee he has served since 1988.
